Stingers re-sign power forward Zac Overwater

Edmonton Stingers • Apr 16, 2020
EDMONTON - The Edmonton Stingers have re-signed power forward Zac Overwater to a one-year contract for the 2020 CEBL season.

Overwater joined the Stingers last year after a five-year standout career with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns that saw him graduate from the Pronghorns as the third leading scorer in program history (1,388 points) and was a Canada West First-Team All-Star.

When the CEBL season wrapped up, Overwater signed with CB Vic in Spain. In 11 games (11 starts), Overwater averaged 9.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

“It was quite the transition for (Zac) last summer, but I believe with a year of pro (basketball) under his belt now his confidence has grown,” said Stingers head coach and GM Jermaine Small.
“I look forward to him having a bigger role with us this year.”
