EDMONTON STINGERS GAME DAY CREW VOLUNTEERS

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Edmonton Stingers Gameday Crew this season! We rely on volunteers like you to make our team a success. Please take a moment to review the Gameday Crew Volunteer Code of Conduct and the volunteer Job Descriptions prior to filling out the registration form. This season, each volunteer will receive a:

Job Descriptions

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for greeting customers, assisting them with their purchases, and processing payments at the Edmonton Stingers home games. You will also help with inventory management, merchandising, and store maintenance. You will report to the Volunteer Coordinator and work closely with other team members to provide excellent customer service and support the Edmonton Stingers brand. 


8-12 positions per game


Duites

  • Welcoming customers and answering their questions about the products and prices. 
  • Recommending products that suit the customers' needs and preferences.
  • Processing cash and card transactions using the point-of-sale system.
  • Handling returns and exchanges in accordance with the store policy. 
  • Keeping the store clean, organized, and well-stocked. 
  • Following the health and safety protocols and wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator. 

The guest services staff is responsible for providing a positive and memorable experience for the fans and guests of the Edmonton Stingers home games. The guest services staff is the first point of contact for the fans and guests, and they must be friendly, courteous, and professional at all times. The guest services staff must also be knowledgeable about the team, the venue, and the policies and procedures of the Edmonton Stingers organization. 


4-6 positions per game



Duties

  • Greet and welcome fans and guests as they enter and exit the venue. 
  • Distribute gameday programs and other giveaways to fans upon arrival.
  • Provide directions and information to fans and guests. 
  • Assist fans and guests with any questions, concerns, or issues they may have.
  • Handle any complaints or problems in a calm and professional manner. 
  • Report any incidents or emergencies to the Volunteer Coordinator or security staff.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and assist with the setup and breakdown of the venue.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator. 

Duties

Concourse Attendants will be responsible for activating and managing different concourse stations on Stingers gameday. This will include engaging directly with fans of all ages, setting up and tearing down game stations and more.


2-4 positions per game


Duties

  • Manage gameday game stations
  • Invite fans to participate and distribute prizes as needed
  • Ensure a clean and tidy workspace that does not interefere with the rest of the concourse
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Duties

The Stingers gameday 50/50 fundrasies for all NEPBA programs to give back to our hardworking volunteers. 50/50 attendants will be responsible for the sale of tickets through the use of POS systems. 


4-6 positions per game


Duties

  • Payment processing for fans who purchase 50/50 tickets (only for those volunteers who are 18 or older). 
  • Providing information about the 50/50 fundraising which includes being knowledgeable and explaining about the goals and objectives of NEPBA as a recipient of 50% of the proceeds.
