Currently averaging 13.6 points (4th on the team) and 8.2 rebounds (4th on the team), 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks per game for Halcones UV Xalapa in Mexico’s Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) … Boone currently leads Halcones UV Xalapa in blocks and minutes per game with averages of 1.5 and 31.7 per game, respectively over 12 games. Boone scored a season-high and team-best 33 points on March 5, 2018 in game 2 of the semifinals vs. the New Zealand Breakers … Boone’s performance led Melbourne to an 88-86 victory … Boone led the NBL in rebounds with 318 … Melbourne United won the NBL championship and Boone was named to the All-NBL First-Team.

 

2016-17:

On Oct. 30, 2008, New Jersey exercised their team option to extend Josh Boone’s contract … Just over a week later on Nov. 7, 2008, Boone scored a season-high 18 points, adding 14 rebounds and one assist.

Boone played a career-high 70 games for the New Jersey Nets in 2007-08, starting a career-high 53 … He averaged career-highs of 8.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.9 blocks in 25.3 minutes per game … His best performance of the year came on March 26, 2008, against the Indiana Pacers when he scored a team-high, season-best and NBA career-high 26 points while adding six rebounds and one assist, leading the Nets to a 124-117 victory

In the 2006-07 NBA Playoffs, Boone played in 12 games, averaging three points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists … Boone helped the Nets win their first round series against the Toronto Raptors before eventually falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games in the Eastern Conference semifinals

In his junior season at UConn, Josh Boone averaged 10.3 points, seven rebounds, 0.6 assists and two blocks per game in 34 games … In the opening game of the season on Nov. 28, 2005, Boone scored a season-high and team-best 18 points, 12 rebounds and two assists … He would match that season-high 18 points twice over the course of the 2005-06 season … At the conclusion of the season, Boone declared for the 2006 NBA Draft rather than coming back to UConn for his senior year … He was drafted in the first round, 23rd overall, by the New Jersey Nets on June 28, 2006 … Currently sits 24th all time in total blocks (222) in Big East history and finished sixth in blocks per game (2) in the Big East for the 2005-06 season

 

2004-05:

 

In Boone’s sophomore season at UConn, he averaged 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.9 blocks per game while starting in all 31 games he played … His best performance of the season came on Dec. 30, 2004 against Quinnipiac, scoring a season-high and team-best 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds and one assist, leading UConn to a 123-71 victory … At the end of the season, Boone was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year, leading the Big East in blocks per game with 2.9 and true shooting percentage of .627 … Boone was also named to the All-Big East Second Team for 2004-05.

 

2003-04:

 

Through 38 games in his freshman season, Boone averaged 5.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game … Boone became just the 12th freshman that head coach Jim Calhoun started in a season opener for UConn … He started 37 of his 38 games played as a freshman … Boone and UConn went on to win the 2004 NCAA Championship … In the championship game on April 5, 2004, Boone scored nine points, six rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes … Boone was named to the Big East All-Freshman team for 2003-04.
