PROFESSIONAL CAREER 


CEBL: In 41 regular season games has averaged 14.0 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game while playing for Edmonton. Named to the 2019 All-CEBL First Team, 2019 All-CEBL Second Team, finalist for the 2019 & 2020 CEBL Player of the Year, and a finalist for the 2020 CEBL Canadian of the Year. Won the 2020 and 2021 CEBL Championships with the Edmonton Stingers.


International: In 54 games has averaged 15.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while playing in Germany and Portugal.


2021-2022: Jordan Baker suited up for the Stingers during the BCLA third window … Scored 18 points and 17 rebounds in first game against Cangrejeros helping Stingers secure the win … Followed up with another double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds to best Real Esteli Basket … During the 2021-2022 ACAC Men’s Basketball Season acted as the head coach of the NAIT Ooks, leading his team to 6-10 record.


2019-2020: Baker re-joined the Edmonton Stingers for the 2020 CEBL Summer Series. During the CEBL Summer Series Baker averaged 12.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 3.8 assists, and 28.3 minutes while guiding the Stingers to the 2020 CEBL championship. The former University of Alberta Golden Bear led the league in rebounds per game for the second year in a row, ranked first in 2-point field goal percentage (61.1), fifth in field goal percentage (56.7) and fifth in assists (3.8). Baker also hit back-to-back game-winning shots in Elam Ending time against the Niagara River Lions and the Saskatchewan Rattlers. As a result of Baker’s performance, he was named to the All-CEBL First team, a finalist for the 2020 CEBL Player of the Year, and CEBL Canadian of the Year.


2018-2019: Baker joined the Edmonton Stingers in the inaugural season when he was selected 23rd overall in the 2019 CEBL entry draft. In his first season with the Stingers, the Edmonton native averaged 13.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals over 17 games. In 2019, Baker was the league’s leading rebounder, named to the All-CEBL Second team, and a finalist for the 2019 CEBL Player of the Year.


2015-2016: Baker played with Galitos Barreiro of the Portuguese LPB League. In Portugal, Baker averaged 15.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.12 assists per game in 33 games, earning 33 starting assignments. 


2014-2015: Baker played with Orange Academy Ratiopharm of the German Pro B League. With Orange Academy Ratiopharm, Baker averaged 15.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in 21 games, earning 19 starting assignments. 


UNIVERSITY / COLLEGE CAREER 

2013-2014: In his fifth year with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker averaged 17.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in 22 games, earning 22 starting assignments. Baker had an illustrious career with the University of Alberta Golden Bears. He was named to the CIS All-Rookie Team in 2010 and CIS First Team All-Canadian in both 2012 and 2014. By the time his career with the University of Alberta was over Baker was the all-time leader in career points, rebounds, assists, steals, and minutes played.


2012-2013: In his fourth year with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker averaged 18.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 12 games, earning 12 starting assignments. As a result of his efforts, Baker was named CIS First Team All-Canadian.


2011-2012: In his third year with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker averaged 19.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in 20 games, earning 20 starting assignments. As a result of his efforts, Baker was named CIS First Team All-Canadian.


2010-2011: In his second year with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker averaged 17.8 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in 24 games, earning 22 starting assignments. 


2009-2010: In his first year with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker averaged 13.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in 20 games. As a result of his efforts, Baker was named to the CIS All-Rookie Team.


PERSONAL

Jordan Baker is the son of Doug and Trix Baker. Doug is a former Alberta Golden Bear while Trix is a former Alberta Panda who coached the Pandas from 1991 to 2005, winning a national championship in 1999. Jordan Baker was also an Alberta Golden Bear. By the time his career with the University of Alberta was over, Baker was the all-time leader in career points, rebounds, assists, steals, and minutes played. Baker is also a multi-time CIS All-Canadian, Canada West First Team All-Star, and Canada West Player of the Year. Aside from his illustrious career with the University of Alberta Golden Bears, Baker has played 12 games with Team Canada’s Senior National Team and represented Canada at the 2009 U-19 World Championships and the 2011 Pan-American Games. Baker continues to compete internationally for Team Edmonton in FIBA 3x3. While Baker’s performance on the court is impressive, he is also making his mark in the Edmonton Community. Baker currently lives in Edmonton and serves as assistant coach with the Golden Bears basketball program. Baker also organizes and coordinates a number of youth basketball initiatives in the city including the All-Star Showcase, an all-star game for the top high school players in the Edmonton area.
