EDMONTON, AB – The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that Edmonton-based brewery, Polar Park Brewing, will be the team’s Official Craft Beer Partner for its 2021 season at the Expo Centre.

"We are proud to announce today our partnership with CEBL's 2020 season champions, The Edmonton Stingers. Polar Park Brewing Co. has supported the Edmonton Stingers franchise ever since conversations first started about bringing a Canadian Professional Basketball team to Edmonton. We are confident that the Stingers franchise will pave the way for further economic stimulus for our city and the surrounding community. Basketball is one of the more exciting sports to watch and the Stingers organization has made ticket prices the most accessible in the city for a spectator live experience. Until the day we all can gather together to cheer on the stingers, we are excited to be the away game headquarters and supply the city with high-quality beers," said Phil Burgess, Co-founder, and Operator of Polar Park Brewing Co.

Polar Park Brewing will produce a limited edition run of Stingers Championship Pilsner for select fans and partners. The Stingers branded cans will be available exclusively at Polar Park, through the Stingers or at the Stingers official golf course partner Fort-In-View.

In addition, Polar Park Brewing’s taproom will be a preferred hang out spot for Stingers players, fans and partners. Polar Park will be showing all of the Stingers games live at the taproom and everyone will be welcome (pending AHS protocols).
“Thrilled to welcome Polar Park Brewing into our family. Together we will provide world-class customer service and community development for the YEG and beyond…! Polar Park is an Elite live experience venue, with a spirit and vibe that aligns well with our Club and the power of sport,” said Edmonton Stingers President Brett Fraser.

The Stingers begin their third season in the CEBL on June 24 when the defending CEBL Champions take on 2020 runners-up, the Fraser Valley Bandits at home in Edmonton. The game will be televised nationally on CBC and will be available globally on various streaming platforms.
