EDMONTON STINGERS SEASON TICKETS ON SALE NOVEMBER 15

EDMONTON, NOVEMBER 9, 2018 - Basketball fans can start to #FeelTheBuzz as Edmonton’s professional basketball team is set to release Season Tickets for sale starting Thursday, November 15 at 10 am at www.ticketmaster.ca.

Playing in the newly-formed Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) – a league created by Canadians for Canadians – the Edmonton Stingers will host 10 home games played inside a modified, intimate seating configuration in Hall D at the Edmonton Expo Centre. Stingers events will feature full-scale entertainment before, during and after world class professional basketball games.

“The Canadian Elite Basketball League promises to deliver an experience where all 10 of each team’s home games will be a major event, blending fast paced professional basketball and an atmosphere that resembles a rock concert,” said Lee Genier, President of the Edmonton Stingers and COO of the CEBL’s Western Operations. “I look forward to the Stingers providing extra pizzazz to the Edmonton sports scene
in the spring and summer months.”

Season tickets are priced from $199 to $375 in the seating bowl, and $500 to $750 for courtside seats on the floor. Individual game tickets are expected to go on sale next spring.

“We wanted our tickets to be affordable and accessible to the average Edmontonian,” said Kail Schofield, Director of Business Operations for the Stingers. “Our May and June Friday games will be a great way to end the week. Our Thursday summer months games in July and August allows our fans to have the weekends to enjoy the sunshine!"

The Stingers open their inaugural season Sunday, May 10 at 7 pm against the Niagara River Lions and will wrap up their home, regular season schedule August 8 against the Saskatchewan Rattlers. The 15-week schedule will see teams play each other twice at home and twice on the road. Four teams will advance to a championship weekend tournament at a location to be announced at a later date.
