Mathieu is the son of Leonard Kamba and Marie MBalayi and was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but moved to Canada as a young child … In Calgary, Kamba played basketball at Bishop McNally High School where he won a city championship and was named a league all-star in his senior year.
