CEBL: In 35 regular has averaged 12.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in regular season games while playing for Saskatchewan and Edmonton. Won the inaugural 2019 CEBL Championship with Saskatchewan and the 2021 CEBL Championship with Edmonton. Was named to the 2021 CEBL All-Second Team.


International: In 76 games has averaged 8.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while playing in Spain, Portugal Canada, Finland, and Taiwan.


2021-22: Marlon Johnson Jr. joined the New Taipei CTBC DEA who compete in the T1 Taiwanese basketball league … Appeared in 25 games for the club … Scored 22 points in his debut on December 4th, 2021 against TB Herobears … Posted 23 in back-to-back games on January 1st and 8th, 2022 … Had 37 points against Taichung Suns on March 5th, 2022 … Scored a professional career high 41 points against Taoyuan L in a triple double performance that included 21 rebounds and 11 assists … Currently averages 18.2 points and 11.9 rebounds per game … Resigned with the Stingers on March 22nd, 2022.

2019-2020: Stayed in Canada for the 2019-20 season where he suited up for the Sudbury 5 of the NBLC … Scored 10 points and had 11 rebounds on opening night against the KW Titans … Eclipsed the 30 point mark three time, first on January 5th, 2020 with 32 and 9 against the London Lightning, again on February 13th, 2020 with 36 against the Lightning, and lastly on February 17th, 2020 with a season high 37 and 16 rebounds … Also on February 13th and 17th hit 6 three pointers for a two game total of 12/24… Had 20 rebounds and 5 blocks on January 10th, 2020 against the Island Storm … Had 18 rebounds (6 offensive) in a win over the Windsor Express … Ranked 6th in the league in points per game with 21.1 and 2nd in rebounds with 11.3 … Signed with the Edmonton Stingers for the 2020 CEBL Summer Series but could not join team due to personal reasons.

 

2018-19: Joined Caceres of the LEB Gold League for his second year as a pro … Began season against FC Barcelona II on October 6th, 2018, scoring 2 points along with 5 rebounds and 2 assists … Had a double-double against Liberbank Oviedo on October 10th, 2018 … After 6 games with the club transferred to Imortal Luzigas of the Liga Placard, Portugal’s top league … Appeared in 11 games for the Immortals … Made debut on December 8th, 2018 against Ovarense GAVEX where he scored 6 points and added in 6 boards … Posted a season high 16 points against UD Oliveirense on January 5th, 2019 … Averaged 6.7 points and 6.7 rebounds for the Immortals … Suited up for the Saskatchewan Rattlers during the inaugural CEBL Season … Had 19 points to go along with 4 boards in the Rattlers season opener against the River Lions on May 9th, 2019 … Set season high scoring mark with 21 against the Nighthawks on June 8th, 2019 … Posted a season high 13 rebounds against the Stingers on August 9th, 2019 … On August 5th, 2019 helped Rattlers win 2019 CEBL Championship, chipping in 6 points to go along with 10 rebounds in the final game over the Honey Badgers … Finished the season averaging 9.7 points and 7.0 

 

2017-18: Signed first professional contract with C.B Pratt of the Spanish LEB Gold League, the second highest tiered league in Spain … In his first professional game on September 30th, 2017 scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds … Season high came against Real Valladolid on March 10th, 2018 when he scored 18 points to go along with 7 rebounds … Had 3 blocks against Caceres on March 24th, 2018 … Shot 42.8% on the season including hitting 28.1% of his threes … Finished the season with averages of 4.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game

Personal:

Son of Marlon Johnson, Sr. and Gladys Matthews and majored in Sports Management. Prepped at Joliet Township (West) high school and played for coach Luke Yaklich, one of the top high school players in the greater Chicago area. Johnson was selected as a second-team All-RMAC all-star in his senior season with New Mexico Highlands.
