BRODY CLARKE
Originally hailing from Toronto, the forward quickly became one of Edmonton's adopted sons when he joined the University of Alberta Golden Bears in 2015. He was the Stingers second round pick in the 2019 CEBL U SPORTS Draft, and across his rookie campaign he scored 5.7 points per game and was named the inaugural CEBL U SPORTS Developmental Player of the Year.
Brody's second season with the Stingers saw a noticeable rise in his impact on the court. Brody joined the team late July appearing for his first game against the former-Fraser Valley Bandits, where he scored a season high 16 points. His season came full-circle when he helped pave the way for Edmonton to win the 2020 CEBL Championship, by contributing 14 points in the title game against the Fraser Valley Bandits. The victory marked the Stingers first championship title in franchise history.
Clarke delivered another solid year in 2022, recording double-digit points in numerous outings. He appeared in all 20 regular season games for the first time in his CEBL career. He also played in Edmonton’s playoff matchup against the Saskatchewan Rattlers, where the Stingers came up just short in a 94–91 loss.
In 2023, Clarke was a consistent force for Edmonton, scoring double-digits points in 18 of the team’s 21 games. He led the Stingers in both scoring, averaging 14.5 points per game, and rebounding, with 7.5 per game. Clarke recorded eight double-doubles throughout the season and delivered a standout performance in the playoffs, leading the team with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the August 6th matchup against Calgary. He was named a CEBL All-Canadian for his efforts.
The veteran’s final season in 2024 was one made memorable by his continued impact on the court. On July 7th, Brody scored a near triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. On July 18th, he surpassed 900 CEBL career points in a road game against Saskatchewan and remains the franchise’s all-time leading scorer with 936 points. To wrap the season, Clarke was named to the CEBL All-Canadian Team, recognizing him as one of the league’s top five Canadian players. He finished the season ranked number one on the Stingers in scoring and second in total rebounds.
Clarke was inducted as the inaugural member of the Stingers Ring of Honour in 2025. Upon his induction, he held the Edmonton Stingers record for games played, points scored, field goals made, and total blocks.
