Sean East II signs with Utah Jazz
CEBL MVP finalist and All-CEBL First Team guard Sean East II has signed an NBA contract after a standout rookie season.

Sean East II has been signed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Utah Jazz and is expected to join the Salt Lake City Stars for the 2025-26 NBA G League season. He is now the second Edmonton Stinger to move on to sign an NBA contract joining guard Xavier Moon.
“Sean had a fantastic season with us this past summer and it comes as no surprise that he is getting an opportunity to showcase his talent at the highest level.” said Stingers President, Head Coach and General Manager Jordan Baker, “His work ethic and character would be an asset to any team, and we wish him all the best as he pursues his NBA aspirations."
East II had a standout year for the Stingers, leading the team in scoring at 22.8 points per game, good for third in the league, while also averaging 4.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He broke the single-season scoring record set in 2023 by Teddy Allen, who scored 544 points, finishing with 546 to set a new record. In the Western Conference play-in game against Calgary, East II put up 36 points, which held the record for most points scored in a playoff game.
East II started all 24 games in the 2025 season, surpassing 20 points in 17 of those and 30 in three. He scored a season-high 35 points in front of a nearly sold-out home crowd on Canada Day against the Montreal Alliance. He was a league leader in many statistical categories this season, including first in total points (546) and third in points per game (22.8). East II finished fifth in assists (116), second in steals (48), second in free throw percentage (90.7) and fourth in three-pointers made (54).
East II became the third Edmonton Stinger to be named to the All-CEBL First Team, joining Xavier Moon and Jordan Baker.
The Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year deal that allows an NBA team to bring players to training camp with the potential to be signed to a standard NBA contract or a two-way deal, or to play for the team’s G League affiliate.
