Seven Players Sign Protected Player Options

The Edmonton Stingers have announced that seven players have been added to the Stingers 2025 Protected Player list. This allows the Stingers an exclusive window to re-sign these players before other CEBL teams at the beginning of free agency in Spring 2025. The list is highlighted by 2024 starters Elijah Miller (guard) and Nick Hornsby (forward); both were members of the Stingers 2023 squad.

Edmonton native Ben Krikke (forward) and Canadian Mike Nuga (guard) have both been added to the Protected Players list, alongside Lithuanian forward Mindaugas Kacinas and American guard Trey McGowens. Additionally, Isiah Osborne (guard), a member of the Stingers 2023 squad, has been added to the list.

These Stingers will retain the rights to re-sign these players to their 2025 roster at the beginning of next year's free agency window, typically beginning in February.
