Stingers Bring Back Shooting Guard Isiah Osborne

Isiah Osborne Returns to The Stingers
EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday the signing of Canadian shooting guard Isiah Osborne to their 2025 roster. The Windsor, Ontario native was a member of the Stingers in their 2023 CEBL Season. He played 18 games, playing 536 minutes, tallying 234 points 28 assists and 55 rebounds in that time.
“I chose to come back because it’s a great city and a very professional team,” said Osborne. “I loved the fans when I was there, every game and all the support they gave us was amazing. The coaches and I get along very well and I know some of the returning players so hopefully we mesh well together again and have the opportunity to play for a CEBL championship.”
In his 42 games in the CEBL, Osborne has averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 26 minutes per game between the Edmonton Stingers, Montreal Alliance and Ottawa Blackjacks.
“Isiah was a huge part of our team in 2023 and we are very excited to have him back this summer,” said Stingers Head Coach and General Manager Jordan Baker. “He has the ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor and always plays his best basketball in target time. The expectation is for him to make an immediate impact now that he is back in Edmonton!”
Prior to turning pro, Osborne played 23 games in the NCAA for the University of Texas at El Paso. Between 2018-2020, Osborne played 43 games with Carelton in USports, leading his team to the U Sports championship in both years, being named both All-Star and MVP in 2020.
Osborne and the Stingers will return to the Edmonton EXPO Centre on May 11th to host the Calgary Surge in their home opener. Tickets are available for as low as $20 per seat and can be purchased online or by contacting the Stingers head office via email (tickets@thestingers.ca) or phone (1-87STINGERS).
