Play Alberta Announced as Stingers Season Presenting Partner

January 22nd, 2023, EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Stingers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have announced Monday that PlayAlberta.ca has signed a multi-year deal to be the Stingers Season Presenting Partner. This partnership is the largest in Edmonton Stingers history and represents a substantial step forward for the Stingers.

“Play Alberta’s recognition of the explosive growth in attendance and fan engagement the Stingers enjoyed as its first season being locally-owned is much appreciated. The long-term commitment from Play Alberta indicates they share our belief in the bright future for our team and League,” said Taranvir (Tank) Vander, managing partner of the Edmonton Stingers. “We’re looking forward to showcasing how this partnership and others soon to come can positively impact our fan experience and participation in the Edmonton community.” 

As part of their continued support for Alberta’s professional sports teams through this new partnership, Play Alberta and the Edmonton Stingers will continue to provide a fan forward gameday experience and commit to helping foster the growth of basketball in the community.

Part of the partnership includes Play Alberta securing the court naming rights for the Stingers’ home court at Expo Centre.  The Play Alberta logo will also be featured prominently on the back of the Stingers jerseys.
