Edmonton Stingers • Mar 04, 2020
EDMONTON - The Edmonton Stingers have re-signed power forward Travis Daniels for the 2020 Canadian Elite Basketball season.

Daniels joined the Stingers for their inaugural season and made a big impact at both ends of the floor with his emphatic dunks, scoring prowess and tenacious defense.

The Eutaw, Ala. product averaged 18.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 60.4% from the floor and 44.4% from beyond the arc. Daniels ranked highly among league leaders in points, rebounds, field-goal percentage and three-point shooting percentage and was named on CEBL First All-Star Team.

“Travis immediately impacted our team and the community. His skill set and ability to play above the rim gave us an advantage every night,” said Stingers GM and head coach Jermaine Small.

“Equally, I loved coaching him and the guys enjoyed playing with him. Having TD, back is an instrumental part of us bringing a championship to Edmonton this August.”

After Daniels’ all-star calibre CEBL season, the 28-year-old signed with Kolossos Rodou BC of the Greek A1 Basketball League. In 19 games (11 starts), Daniels is averaging 6.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 21.3 minutes.

The Edmonton Stingers will start their 2020 season on May 8 at the Expo Centre. Season tickets, flex packs and group tickets are now available via thestingers.ca/tickets
